Masters Will Share Insights at First Toronto Kaggle Days Meetup

If “data is the new oil,” then Kaggle is a virtual gusher of datasets, kernels and other essential content and information for anyone working in machine learning and data science. Synced would like to invite Toronto AI and data science students and researchers to join representatives of the world’s largest data science community for an evening of networking, discussions, and refreshments!

The first Canadian event in the worldwide Kaggle Days Meetups series will be held on the evening on August 27, 2019 at WeCloudData, centrally located at Bloor and Bay. We’ll have presentations from a Kaggle Grandmaster and a Kaggle Master, who will share their respective data science journeys, accomplishments, and insights.

Whether you’re a newbie looking for an introduction to this rapidly growing field, a data veteran who wants to stay abreast of the latest innovations in the field, or an avid Kaggler keen to network — mark the date on your calendar and book your spot now as places are limited!

Meet our speakers:

  • Nima Shahbazi: Kaggle Grandmaster, and Former Kaggle #1 in Canada and #19 worldwide. Nima has won several machine learning and deep learning competitions in predictive modelling, NLP and recommendation systems.
  • Adrian Haldenby: A Kaggle Competitions Master and Senior Data Scientist. Adrian has received a gold medal and six silver medals in Kaggle competitions, and is eager to share his nine-year Kaggle journey with fellow Kagglers.

Since the first Meetup last summer in Warsaw, Poland, Kaggle Days has become a popular platform for networking with local Kagglers and learning tips from Kaggle Masters. Kaggle Days have been held in 15 major cities on 5 continents.
