On September 11, city official stated that Beijing plans to build the world’s first high-level autonomous driving demonstration zone, which allows large-scale operation of autonomous vehicles above L4 level and accommodate “cars, roads, clouds, networks, and maps”. The demonstration area will allow self-driving taxis and buses, and autonomous valet parking to operate. (Source)
